Is there anyone who knows how I could get rid of the tyrant trait by making an event? I also went into the save file to edit the vassals' opinion of my Ruler, but couldn't find anything about their opinion of him inside the save. I copied parts of the lua script but had only the line 'remove_trait = tyrant' to remove the tyrant trait. The only thing I found to remove traits was this. I guessed the only way to get rid of the tyrant trait, and all the trouble that comes with it, is to make my own event and began to search the net.

It's almost like they are calling him Court Jester. My current Ruler, the grandson, is now called The Tyrant although he hasn't done anything to earn that 'honourable' title.

Although many years have passed the vassals still hate their liege, the grandson of the tyrant, and fight him, just as they fought his father. Now the Ruler's son is dead and his grandson is ruling and has inherited the tyrant trait. I did what I could to make his vassals like his son more and didn't do anything which could be viewed as tyrany. He died and his son inherited the tyrant trait and had to fight his vassals. This gave him the tyrant trait and his other vassals and other characters began to hate him. One of my Rulers banished one vassal, to get both titles and money, and revoked the titles from two other vasslas.
